The Project Finance International (PFI) annual league tables for 2024 have been published and can be accessed via Deals Data or downloaded from here.
The global project finance loans market jumped 17.5% in 2024 to US$417.4bn from US$355bn. Global project bonds issuance was static at US$63.7bn in 2024 compared with US$63.5bn in 2023. As a result, the commercial global project finance market increased 15% to US$481.1bn in 2024 compared with US$418.5bn in 2023. The number of loan deals rose above 1,000 to 1,004 compared with 989 and the number of bond deals rose to 122 from 104. Multilateral lending in developing markets moved up to US$9.5bn from US$8.7bn and in developed markets dropped to US$9bn from US$13.5bn.
