Belgian battery park developer BSTOR and Duferco Wallonie have reached financial close on the €70m project financing for D-STOR 50MW/140MWh battery park in La Louviere.

The project is geared at 55% with lenders on the non-recourse loan including KBC, Belfius and Triodos. Eneco has signed a long-term flexibility purchase agreement with D-STOR and will market the flexible capacity. D-STOR has 36 Tesla Megapacks and is scheduled to be operational by summer 2026. BSTOR and industrial brownfield redeveloper Duferco Wallonie each hold 50% in the project. The lenders received legal advice from Jones Day. BSTOR is backed by GreenStor, Wallonie Entreprendre, and BEWATT. Its other assets include a 75% stake in the 10MW/20MWh ESTOR-LUX project in Bastogne. It is targeting development and commissioning of more than 400MWh of storage capacity by the end of 2026.
