German turbine manufacturer Enercon will supply turbines for 110.5MW of new wind capacity being developed by Turkey's Polat Enerji, which is currently raising financing for the projects.
Enercon's turbine order will likely bring in German export credit coverage on the project financing. The schemes are the 93.5MW Yalova/Goktepe 4 wind farm, the 11MW Kireshir/Geycek 3 scheme and the 6MW Izmir/Ege 3 wind farm. The turbine order includes a 15-year operation and maintenance agreement providing availability and spare parts guarantees for all three sites.
