The Netherlands will tender 10.7GW of offshore wind capacity from 2025 with the Dutch Council of Ministers confirming when and where the new capacity will be built. Plans for an additional 10.7GW were announced in March with the goal of reaching around 21GW by 2030.
The 10.7GW will be split across three new offshore wind zones – Nederwiek, Lagelander, and Doordewind – as well as parts of existing zones IJmuiden Ver and Hollandse Kust West. Dutch transmission system operator TenneT will connect the projects to the grid.
