Graham Smith

Graham Smith manages a team within HSBC’s Infrastructure & Real Estate Group that has focused on Bus Rapid Transit projects since 2004. He is a technical advisor to the UN affiliated Sustainable Low Carbon Transport Group. In 2016 he became HSBC’s focal point with the Green Climate Fund and the Catalytic Finance Initiative and the EMEA Green Champion within HSBC’s Infrastructure Finance Group. He is currently heading HSBC’s Smart Cities Initiative.
Stephen Lilley
Greencoat Capital
Stephen Lilley is responsible for running Greencoat UK Wind plc, the first and leading UK-listed renewable infrastructure fund. Since listing, Greencoat UK Wind plc has invested in eighteen operating UK wind farms and has a market capitalisation of approximately £650m. Prior to joining Greencoat Capital, he was a managing director at Climate Change Capital, responsible for renewable energy infrastructure and prior to that, was a senior director of M&G’s European Infrastructure fund, Infracapital Partners.
David Kerins
European Investment Bank
David Kerins is an energy economist at the European Investment Bank, with substantial experience financing public sector and private energy investments globally. David has been involved in energy transactions in over 20 countries, including some of the largest renewable transactions in Europe, Galloper Offshore Wind in the UK, and in Africa Lake Turkana Wind in Kenya. He has been heavily involved in developing the EIB’s approach to energy and climate action at the policy level in close consultation with the EIB’s clients, and key stakeholders in the European Commission and civil society.
Ian Berry
Aviva Investors
Ian Berry leads the Infrastructure & Renewable Energy fund management business at Aviva Investors, the global asset management arm of Aviva plc. Since 2009, the business has focused on acquiring assets with lower risk, regular income streams. The funds managed by the team include strategies focused on European renewable energy, UK assets and infrastructure debt. Recent acquisitions have included renewable energy assets in the solar photovoltaic and the wind sectors in the UK and continental Europe and a portfolio infrastructure loans. Ian has over 15 years’ experience in infrastructure finance.
Raphael Lance
Mirova
Raphael Lance joined Mirova, Natixis Group, in 2009, where he has spent 7 years managing the €450m AUM renewable energy infrastructure activity
Previously, he spent 12 years at General Electric in several managerial positions in risk, finance and M&A at GE Healthcare, GE Oil&Gas, GE Capital. In his last 5 years at GE, he oversaw investments at GE Energy Financial Services for South Europe with €350m of renewable energy investments.
Evan Stergoulis
Watson Farley & Williams
Evan Stergoulis is Head of the Global Energy & Infrastructure sector at Watson Farley & Williams and has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. He specialises in energy M&A and financing with considerable experience in offshore wind, onshore renewable portfolios and gas & power transmission and distribution projects. Recent deals include advising DONG Energy on its sale of a 50% stake in the 258MW Burbo Bank wind farm and PNE Wind on its landmark UK wind portfolio sale to Brookfield.
John Mayhew
M&G Investments
John Mayhew joined M&G Investments in January 2015 as Head of Infrastructure Finance, leading the team which assists M&G’s funds in investing in public and private senior and mezzanine debt across the infrastructure sector. Prior to joining M&G, he spent over five years running his own advisory boutique, Erias Finance, assisting owners and operators of European infrastructure with their debt financings. He has over 23 years financing experience, having previously worked at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital. He holds an MA in Economics and is CF30 approved by the FCA.
